Cell Signaling & Neurofibromatosis

Hélène Benedetti Team leader Béatrice Vallée Team leader Meet the team

The Cell Signalling and Neurofibromatosis team aim to decipher molecular mechanisms and cell signalling pathways involved in several pathologies, especially Neurofibromatosis type I, a genetic disease against which there is no targeted treatment so far. We are developing two strategies of research: (i) basic science to identify new therapeutic targets, understand their roles and functions, (ii) applied science consisting in the evaluation of potential new drugs regulating these therapeutic targets in collaboration with chemists. Our domains of expertise are cell biology, biochemistry and molecular biology, protein-protein interactions, post-translational modifications and protein activity regulation. We are collaborating with teams specialized in 3D modelling, medicinal chemistry and with clinicians.
