Alexis Verger

Alexis Verger has been an Associate Professor in Pharmaceutics (Galenics) at the NMNS department of the Faculty of Pharmacy in Tours since September 2023. Originally from the Grand Ouest region of France, he studied pharmacy in Nantes, completed a Master’s degree in Angers, and defended his PhD in Chemical Sciences in 2022 at the Institut des Sciences Chimiques de Rennes, within the Solid State Chemistry and Materials team. His academic path also included international research experience through a collaborative project in the Czech Republic.

His teaching activities mainly focus on pharmaceutics and cosmetics, with a particular emphasis on materials control and optimization. His current research explores the use of natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES) as innovative tools to improve formulation strategies and enhance the properties of cosmetic and healthcare products.

Building on his diverse experiences, Alexis Verger has developed expertise ranging from the design of semi-solid materials to their performance assessment, with the ambition of strengthening the connection between academic research and practical applications in the cosmetic field.
