Daiva Vozgirdaite
Daiva Vozgirdaite is a Lithuanian researcher specializing in nanomedicine and targeted drug delivery systems. She earned her PhD in Life Sciences and Health from the University of Tours (France) in 2024, where her doctoral work focused on the targeted vectorization of metformin to enhance chemotherapeutic efficacy in triple-negative breast cancer.
Currently, Daiva works as a scientific researcher at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS, Tours), developing liposome-hydrogel dual drug delivery systems for sustained and localized release of immuno- and chemotherapeutic agents. Her expertise spans nanoparticle formulation (lipid, polymer, and inorganic), surface functionalization, microfluidics, and rheological characterization.
She is also skilled in analytical techniques such as dynamic light scattering, chromatography, fluorescence microscopy, and 3D cell culture models. Before her doctoral studies, Daiva obtained a Master’s degree in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from the National Institute of Applied Sciences of Lyon (France) and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Vilnius University (Lithuania).
