Collective crystal medal for 0 GRavité Ensemble

Published on Dec. 12, 2025

To reduce the use of medicines and disinfectants during future long-duration space missions, cold plasmas appears promising for surface decontamination and wound healing. The 0 GRavité Ensemble (0GRE) team, comprising 12 member including Septuce Zin, MITI doctoral student at CBM and GREMI, was honoured with a collective crystal medal awarded by the CNRS. This distinction recognises the remarkable work accomplished by the entire team, which since 2022 has been working tirelessly to bring to fruition an idea that many considered unfeasible: using cold atmospheric plasma for applications in weightless conditions, aboard the A310 ZERO-G aircraft of NOVESPACE, a subsidiary of CNES, during parabolic flights. This project has been a major challenge that Septuce will continue to pursue as part of his thesis.
