- Study on the transfer of CBD (cannabidiol) into breast milk

This study, led by Dr. Marie-Philippe Lebouchard–Maakaroun (Orléans University Hospital) with Dr. Raphaël Serreau as co-investigator, examines the transfer of CBD into breast milk.

The project received €60,000 in funding in 2024 from Orléans University Hospital and obtained Research Ethics Committee approval in September 2024. The first participant was enrolled in 2025.

- Research on burnout, addictions, and sleep disorders

Walaa Khazaal PhD’s project (2024-2027): The TRAPSYCOL study: Work-related stress is a significant public health issue and is associated with increased use of psychoactive substances and medications, as well as burnout, depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders. Early childhood professionals are particularly exposed to high occupational stress due to the emotional and physical demands of their work.

This cross-sectional epidemiological study investigates the relationship between work-related stress, substance use, and mental health outcomes among early childhood professionals working in nursery schools in Orléans Métropole, CCTVL, and Fleury-les-Aubrais. Ethical approval was obtained from the CHU d’Orléans Ethics Committee (CERO 2511-02). Data are collected anonymously through self-administered online questionnaires.
