Research at the CBM is structured in 4 research departments which group 16 teams:

- Theoretical and computational biophysics

Research support service The Research supoprt service has an important role within the laboratory. He is in charge of the administrative and financial tasks and maintain the information system and core infrastructures. He also provide expertise in safety and risk prevention.
