Optical spectroscopy facility

This facility consists of several instruments based on optical spectroscopy for the biophysical characterization of biological samples.

Our facility is primarily a user-based facility where researchers are trained on the care and handling of the equipment. In addition to providing training for new users, our staff is available to help users in the design of experiments and the interpretation of results. It is also possible to agree that experiments are fully performed by the staff, for feasibility testing, for example.

Five techniques available for sample analysis:

Surface plasmon resonance

Microplates readings

Two microplates readers are available on the platform, one being multilabels (Vitor) and the second more specifically dedicated to bioluminescence (Mithras).

Infrared spectroscopy

Circular Dichroism

UV-visible absorption spectrophotometry
