Circular dichroism is an excellent method for analyzing protein and nucleic acid secondary structure in solution. It can also be used to follow the changes in folding as a function of temperature (or pH, buffer …), or for measuring protein-ligand and nucleic acid-ligand interactions.
The Jasco J-810 spectropolarimeter is research-grade system, spectral measurement can be recorded down to 180 nm.
