Oxygen impact on our skin antioxidant defences: a new epidermis 3D model that is closer to physiology

The development of a new epidermis model that respects the skin oxygen physiological level of oxygen by CBM researchers has highlighted the role of oxygen in the expression and activity of antioxidant enzymes, which are essential for slowing skin ageing.

Structural insights into the SUMOylation reaction

The new study focussed on the process known as SUMOylation, an essential biological regulatory mechanism, inaugurates the "SUMOwriteNread" project funded by the European Research Council, which aims to crack secrets of SUMOylation.
